MISHAWAKA – Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (IN-02) wants to remind constituents of an upcoming “Academy Day” session in northern Indiana to provide interested students with the opportunity to learn more about applying to one of the U.S. Service Academies. The event is co-hosted by U.S. Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.). The informational session will take place on Saturday, April 23 at 9 a.m. ET at the Miami County Fairgrounds in the 4-H Community Building.
Representatives from Walorski and Coats’ offices and the service academies will be available to speak with individuals about life at a U.S. Service Academy and offer advice on the application process. The academies include the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colo., U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King’s Point, N.Y., U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md. and U.S. Coast Guard Academy at New London, Conn.
