Walorski Announces Virtual “Medicare 101” Session on October 14
Hoosiers Can Learn the Basics of Medicare Enrollment, Get Questions Answered by Experts During Virtual Event
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) announced that her office will host a virtual “Medicare 101” educational session on Thursday, October 14, at 1:00 p.m. ET. Hoosiers can join the online event to learn the basics of the Medicare program, including enrollment, and have their questions answered by experts.
“Medicare is a sacred commitment that our country has made to American seniors, and it is essential that Hoosiers have the information and assistance they need to secure these benefits,” said Congresswoman Walorski. “I encourage all 2nd District Hoosiers who are at or near retirement age – or who are caregivers for Medicare beneficiaries – to join us online for ‘Medicare 101’ on October 14 to connect with experts and learn more about this vital program ahead of the upcoming enrollment period.”
A member of Congresswoman Walorski’s team and a Medicare specialist from Indiana’s State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) will present information about the basics of Medicare and answer constituents’ questions. Medicare’s annual Open Enrollment Period will run from October 15 to December 7.
Participants can view the video presentation and submit questions on Zoom and Facebook. The video will be posted after the event for those who were unable to watch live. Additional details about “Medicare 101” will be available at walorski.house.gov/medicare.
Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District of Indiana, serving as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and the Ranking Member of the House Ethics Committee.
