Walorski Statement on FBI Director James Comey
MISHAWAKA, Ind. – U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) today released the following statement after James Comey was fired as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI):
“I appreciate James Comey’s service to the country and leadership of the FBI through difficult challenges. I am confident the men and women of the FBI will continue their important work to keep our nation safe and uphold the rule of law, and I look forward to the appointment of a new director to lead the bureau with integrity, independence, and the full confidence of the American people.”
Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District of Indiana, serving as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee.
