Walorski Statement on Deputy Attorney General Briefing

House Receives Update Following Appointment of Special Counsel

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) today released the following statement after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein briefed members of the House:

“After hearing from the deputy attorney general, I am confident that special counsel Robert Mueller will conduct a thorough, independent investigation and will follow the facts where they lead.

“Congress will also continue our oversight role through ongoing bipartisan investigations by the relevant House and Senate committees.

“As these investigations move forward, Congress will not lose focus on our work for the American people: fixing our broken tax code, building a patient-centered health care system, reforming the VA, and protecting our national security.”

Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District of Indiana, serving as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee.
