Personal Financial Disclosure
Every Member of the U.S. House of Representatives who was in office by May 15 of the current year is required to file a Financial Disclosure Statement covering these categories, for the previous calendar year:
- Earned income (e.g., salaries and fees)
- Donations made by others to charities in lieu of paying a Representative for a speech, appearance, or article
- “Unearned” income
- Assets purchased, sold, or exchanged
- Liabilities
- Gifts received
- Travel reimbursements
- Positions held by the Representative
- Agreements with outside entities
Financial disclosure statements for Representatives are available on the Internet on or about June 15 of the year they are filed. I took office on January 3, 2013. Financial disclosure statements are available on the Internet here.
