Walorski Welcomes Michiana Veterans During Northeast Indiana Honor Flight

Met with veterans at WWII Memorial in Washington D.C.

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Jackie Walorski (IN-02), a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, today visited with local World War II veterans from South Bend, Elkhart, Goshen, Wakarusa, and Walkerton during an honor flight to Washington, D.C. During the visit, she also presented one veteran with an award for his service. Click here to view additional photos.

Honor flights are conducted by non-profit organizations dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials of the respective war(s) they fought in Washington, D.C. at no cost to the veterans.

Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District in Indiana, where she serves as a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, House Armed Services Committee, and House Committee on Agriculture.
