Joins Sens. John McCain, Marco Rubio and Newt Gingrich
WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Jackie Walorski (IN-02) announced today she has been named to participate in the Fixing Veterans Health Care Summit next Thursday in Washington, D.C., along with Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Marco Rubio (R-FL), former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, health policy experts, and veterans’ advocates. The event will explore and debate the best ways to drastically improve health care delivery to our nation’s veterans.
At the summit, Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) will release the ‘Fixing Veterans Health Care Taskforce’ report on how to deliver efficient and effective health care to veterans in the 21st century. Walorski will be serving on a bipartisan House Panel with Reps. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) and Duncan Hunter (R-CA) to discuss the findings of the report.
“As a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee and the daughter of a veteran, I’m grateful for the invitation to participate and I am looking forward to hearing from other thought-leaders to find answers to the tough questions on what needs be to done to ensure no veteran endures the bureaucratic nightmare so many of our bravest and finest have endured from the Department of Veterans Affairs,” said Walorski. “Many thanks to CVA for organizing this event and bringing lawmakers, health care experts and veterans community members to the table to discuss how we can fix this once and for all.”
Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District in Indiana, where she serves as a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, House Armed Services Committee and House Committee on Agriculture.
