Weekly initiative highlights a local Hoosier or business for notable achievements
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Jackie Walorski (IN-02) announced this week’s honoree for her ‘Who’s Who in IN-02’ initiative. During a speech on the House floor, Walorski recognized AM General CEO Charlie Hall, who will be retiring after five years of leadership of the world-renowned company and manufacturer of the HUMVEE.
“A hardworking and determined CEO, Hall is known for inspiring his employees through a team-based approach to solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities while never losing sight of his top priority: delivering the best light tactical vehicles on the planet for our men and women in uniform,” Walorski said. “Hall’s service and contributions are truly deserving of this body’s recognition. On behalf of Hoosiers in the Second Congressional District, I thank Charlie Hall for having such an extraordinary impact on AM General, and for serving as a role model for the next generation of leaders in our community.”
A driven and natural born leader, Hall joined AM General as CEO January 2011, where he restructured the business from top to bottom: launched critical partnerships with the National Guard and Reserve, secured unprecedented foreign military sales, and diversified the company’s commercial portfolio.
