Rep. Jackie Walorski (IN-02) encourages her constituents to vote for their favorite submission to the 2015 Congressional Art Competition.
The first and second winners will be determined by a panel of judges as well as honorable mentions. In addition, Walorski will award the student whose artwork receives the most Facebook “likes” on Walorski’s official Facebook page.
A photo of each entry is posted on the online Facebook album, allowing the opportunity for students and teachers to support their classmates.
The Congressional Art Competition was established in 1982 to give members of Congress the opportunity to recognize artistic talent amongst their constituents. It takes place nationwide and open to all high school students.
The first place winner will have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for an entire year as well as receive a pair of round-trip airline tickets to Washington D.C. Second and third place winners will have their artwork displayed in Congresswoman Walorski’s District Office.
