WALORSKI SUPPORTS HOUSE PLAN TO VOTE ON CONTINUING RESOLUTION, DEFUND OBAMACARE
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (IN-02) released the following statement supporting the House plan to vote on a continuing resolution to fund the government and defund Obamacare:
"When I talk to Hoosiers at home, it remains clear that our families and businesses want to keep the federal government open and defund Obamacare. I am pleased the House will vote on straightforward legislation to achieve these important objectives, halting Obamacare before October 1st and preventing the consequences of a government shutdown. This plan is similar to the ‘Stability, Security, and Fairness Resolution’ penned by Rep. Tom Graves, which I co-sponsored along with 79 other Members of Congress.”
"As time goes on, the list of problems with Obamacare for young people, families, and businesses gets longer. The reality of rising premiums, job-killing mandates, and jeopardized patient care are rapidly impacting this nation, proving this unworkable legislation must be stopped. I urge my colleagues to stand behind this plan to pass a smart spending measure and defund Obamacare, sending a clear message that the House of Representatives is listening to the American people."
